State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said $1,300 in cash was stolen from a home in Monroe County during a burglary that happened between 2:30 and 10 p.m. July 8.

The victims are Amanda and Richard Ianuale of Effort.They told police someone gained entry to the residence's living room by removing the window screen and entering through the unsecured window.The currency was removed from a safe, after which time the intruder fled the scene undetected and in an unknown direction.The home is located along Toll Road in Chestnuthill Township.
