Paint argument leads to charges

An argument over paint in Tamaqua resulted in injuries to one person and charges being filed against another.

The victim went to the borough police station at 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 27 and said she and Brian Eck, 36, of 21 W. Spruce St., were in a garage at 29 W. Spruce St. when they began arguing over paint. Eck reportedly grabbed her by the neck, choked her and dragged her out of the garage. The victim's neck had reddened patches and there were fresh bruises on her legs and ankles.She was transported to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus for treatment.Eck was cited for simple assault and harassment.
