State police at Lehighton are investigating two burglaries that occurred at Monroe County sites.

A break-in occurred at the residence of Gail Fleming, 135 Leisure Lane, Effort, at 5:26 p.m. on Wednesday. Troopers said suspects gained entry to the home by breaking through the front door. Nothing was taken. Troopers added that the suspects may have been scared off by the victims' dogs.The second entry occurred at a residence at 102 Corine Way, Saylorsburg, Ross Township. Entry was gained by breaking a rear door. Once inside the criminals removed copper and aluminum. The incident occurred sometime between last Friday and Wednesday. The home is owned by Federal National Mortgage Association.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
