State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft incident in Monroe County.

Troopers said Joseph Douglas Schmelzle, 36, of 153 Old Stagecoach Road, Gilbert, reported someone removed a box of comic books and a box of silverware from his home. No time frame for the theft was available.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
