A Tower City man was hurt Friday when his bike went down and slid about 300 feet on Route 25 in Hubley Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Joe A. Wolff, 54, was riding his Harley-Davidson east, approaching Mahantongo Street, when another vehicle pulled out from Mahantongo Street onto the highway. Wolff laid the bike on its side, sliding the distance. Wolff was wearing a helmet and suffered moderate injuries, police said.
