Two people were cited by Tamaqua police on Oct. 7 following a domestic dispute.

The Schuylkill County Communications Center received two calls from the area of Oak and Spruce streets that morning. One caller said two people were fighting in a silver vehicle, while the second call was an open line, with no one responding to the dispatcher.At the intersection, police found Ricky Nelson, 36, of 129 E. Phillips St., Coaldale, lying in the roadway and Vicki Jones, 42, of 12 Thrush Hollow Lane, New Ringgold, sitting in the car.Jones told officers she had been in the front seat of the car, with Nelson in the back seat. He refused to get out and struck her. Her face was bruised and bleeding.Nelson said Jones slammed on the brakes, causing him to strike his head off the windshield.Both were cited for disorderly conduct.
