One of three drivers involved in a crash in Schuylkill County was flown to an area hospital following the crash. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred at 12:54 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of the Route 901 and Bunting Street in Norwegian Township.
Troopers said David F. Pavlik, 62, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2002 Mazda 626 westbound on 901 and attempted to make a left turn onto Bunting Street. As he turned, his vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Shawn A. Spotts, 21, of Mount Carmel. Upon impact the Jeep spun and hit a 2013 Ford Escape driven by Donald Wells, 62, of Pottsville.Pavlik, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle out the passenger door. He was flown to the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Spotts, his passenger Kaitlin Malia, 19, of Mount Carmel, and Wells, were all not injured.Troopers cited Pavlik.
