State police at Fern Ridge are investigating two theft from vehicle incidents, both occurring in the Sun Valley Mountain Estates in Effort.

Troopers said a Samsung cellphone and a leather jacket were taken from a car on Gooseberry Lane. A resident of Mountain Road reported his vehicle was entered and a Garmin GPS unit and a box of .454-caliber cartridges were taken.Both entries occurred between 11 p.m. Oct. 11 and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 12.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
