A Dauphin County driver escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:45 p.m. on Thursday along Route 25 in Reilly Township, Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Elizabeth Chester, 91, of Hummelstown, was driving a 1999 Ford Escort eastbound when she lost control due to being unfamiliar with the area. She negotiated several curves before approaching a right curve but continued straight. Her vehicle went onto the north berm with the front end impacting with a utility pole.The car had to be towed from the scene. She was cited for the crash, troopers added.
