A Tamaqua man has been cited after bouncing a check written to the Tamaqua Area Water Authority.

Ralph P. Bolletino, 52, of 124 Center St., Tamaqua, wrote a check, on a Wells Fargo account, in the amount of $300 for payment of a water bill on Sept. 8. The check was returned on Sept. 12, marked insufficient funds. Despite a phone call and a certified letter, Bolletino failed to make good on his debt.He was cited for issuing a bad check.
