State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary at a Monroe County site.

Troopers said the former Gower Well Drilling business in Chestnuthill Township was entered by forcing open a door. The criminals removed copper wire, welding leads and commercial vehicle batteries.The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 4 and 18. The property is owned by Curt D. Gower, 55, of Effort, troopers said.
