State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary and theft incident.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Dirk Van Deem, 83, of Sherwood Forest Road, in Jackson Township, Monroe County. Removed from the home was assorted jewelry and $500 in cash. Entry occurred sometime between Oct. 1-15.John Thomas Korovich, 312 Switzgable Drive, Brodheadsville, reported that someone stole an inflatable Halloween lawn decoration and several lawn tools from his yard. The theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Oct. 21 and 9:25 a.m. on Oct. 22.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
