State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary at a Carbon County residence.

Troopers said the home of Diane Mitchell, 64, of 164 Cold Spring Drive, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, was entered through a front porch window. Once inside the criminals removed various items including cash and jewelry.The incident occurred sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
