A Tamaqua woman has been cited following a domestic incident in the borough on Thursday.

Police were dispatched to 35 W. Union St. at 9 p.m. for a domestic assault. The male victim was attempting to take his belongings and leave the home, when Cathy Balliet, 51, began screaming at him, telling him he could not take the items. She continued screaming after police arrived.The victim had a laceration on the inside of his right forearm and said it probably happened when he struggled to keep Balliet from using a stun gun to disable him. A stun gun was found inside the house, on a table, next to Balliet's purse and jacket.Balliet was charged with simple assault and harassment.
