State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Schuylkill County early Wednesday.

Troopers said Lawrence Longenberger, 56, of Mahanoy Plane, was stopped for a stop sign on Cressona Road, at the intersection with Route 901 (Gordon Nagle Trail), at 4:19 a.m. when a vehicle, traveling westbound on 901 traveled into the southbound lane of Cressona Road and struck the right front of Longenberger's 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera.After impact the other driver backed up his vehicle and fled westbound on 901. Longenberger was not injured. Troopers said the hit-and-run vehicle is a dark colored pickup.
