Carbon driver in Lehigh crash

A Carbon County driver was cited in a crash in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at 11:27 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Holdens Valley and Werleys Corner roads in Weisenberg Township.Troopers said Amanda A. Ruch, 20, of Lehighton, was driving a 2003 Honda Civic southbound on Werleys Corner Road and pulled from a stop sign without clearance and into the path of a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Robert C. Herman, 72, of Kempton, Berks County.Upon impact, the Civic spun 270 degrees within Holbens Valley Road, coming to rest on the east roadside of Werleys Corner Road.The Caravan came to rest on the south shoulder of Holbens Valley Road.Ruch, Herman and his passenger, Barbara Herman, 70, same address, were not injured. Troopers said Ruch was cited for stop signs and yield signs.
