A garbage collection caught on fire Nov. 5 in Jim Thorpe, and borough police believe it was intentionally set.

Home surveillance video obtained during the investigation shows a white male, possibly bald, walking toward 12 E. Fourth St. from Fern Street several minutes before the items set out for the trash went up in flames around 7:30 p.m.The fire damaged a nearby vehicle and home.The same male was later observed across the street watching as fire personnel extinguished the flames.Anyone with information is asked to contact Jim Thorpe detective Lee Marzen at 570-325-4995, ext. 324.
