A Schuylkill County driver was involved in a one-vehicle crash in Luzerne County on Nov. 10 in which he and his passenger were injured.

State police at Hazleton said Steven J. Bender, 30, of McAdoo, was driving a 1996 Dodge Dakota Sport pickup truck eastbound on Main St., in Foster Township, at 7:10 p.m. when he attempted to make a U-turn in a grassy area off the right shoulder. While attempting to make the U-turn the truck went into a ditch causing damage to the front end and the under carriage.Bender and his passenger, Derek T. Seely, 25, of Drums, both sustained minor injuries but did not require immediate medical attention.The truck had to be towed from the scene.
