Schuylkill man jailed for threats

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Monday after he threatened two females, one an infant.

State police at Frackville said Carl Hayslette, 41, of Sheppton, was charged with terroristic threats and simple assault. He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Stephen Bayer of Tamaqua, and committed to the county prison after failing to post $10,000 bail.According to troopers, at 3:50 p.m. they responded to West Pine Street in Sheppton. On scene a 27-year-old woman told troopers Hayslette punched, choked and threatened to kill her. She also reported that the suspect subjected a 3-month-old girl to physical contact.
