State police at Frackville reported on two crashes investigated by troopers, both occurring on Friday.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 2:21 p.m. along Route 61 at Mall Road, in New Castle Township. Troopers said Keith M. Holmes, 22, of Pottsville, was driving a 1997 Eagle Talon northbound in the right lane when he lost control while rounding a left curve.The Talon traveled into the left lane, then onto the left shoulder where the front end impacted with a guide rail.Holmes and his passenger, Joseph W. Holmes, 48, of Pottsville, were not injured. The Talon had to be towed from the scene.Troopers said Holmes was cited for the crash.The second crash was reported at 3:50 p.m. along Route 924 in East Union Township. Troopers said Michael E. Clarke, 36, of Ringtown, was driving a 2012 Honda Pilot southbound, a quarter-mile south of Sheppton, while Katelyn M. Adukaitis, 23, of Frackville, was northbound operating a 2010 Kia Forte.Troopers said Clarke crossed partway into the northbound lane and struck the side of the Forte with the front of the Pilot.Troopers said Adukaitis received a cut to her hand but did not require immediate medical attention. Clarke and a passenger with Adukaitis, Cody R. Perez, 23, of Shenandoah, were not injured.Troopers said front airbags in both vehicles were deployed and all people involved were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles had to be towed.Clarke was cited for the crash, troopers added.
