Eleven persons received citations issued by Nesquehoning police during the period of Dec. 2-8.

Eight of the drivers were charged with speeding in the area of Oak and Catawissa streets, including four on Dec. 4 who were timed at 40, 41, 41 and 47 mph in a 25 mph zone. The following day, police cited three people in the same area, two of which were traveling 47 mph and the other being clocked at 48 mph.On Dec. 8, a driver was timed at 48 mph in the same zone and was cited.Police also cited a driver on Dec. 2 for tire equipment and traction surfaces violations; a driver was charged with careless driving on Dec. 4 in the area of Rt. 54 and Park Avenue; and an operator was issued a citation on Dec. 5 for having an expired inspection sticker.
