State police at the Schuylkill Haven were summoned to quell a verbal argument that escalated to a confrontation at 7 p.m. Thursday at 112 Pottsville St. in Cressona.

Police said a 30-year-old Cressona man will be cited for harassment after he allegedly spit in the face of a 31-year-old Cressona woman and choked her with his hands.
