A Coaldale woman has been cited by Tamaqua Police after a shoplifting incident on Sunday.

Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General Store, 1213 E. Broad S., Tamaqua, at 3:48 p.m., where employees had detained a 27-year-old woman, identified as Christina Kieffer of 52 Fifth St., Coaldale.The store manager told the officer that Kieffer had been observed placing items into her purse. When confronted, Kieffer returned the items to store personnel.A criminal records check determined this was Kieffer's second retail theft offense.
