A Shamokin, Northumberland County man has been cited for criminal mischief for vandalizing a room at a Carbon County hotel.

State police at Lehighton said Justin Ray Ruiz, 30, was arrested following an incident at the Country Inn & Suites, located at 1619 Interchange Road in Franklin Township.Troopers said he vandalized a room he had rented at the inn on New Year's Day about 11 a.m.
