An icy road contributed to a one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County on Sunday morning, according to state police at Frackville.

Brandon L. Oakill, 29, of Pottsville, was eastbound on High Road just before 6:30 a.m., when his 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 slid through the westbound land and struck a utility pole, shearing off the vehicle's front tire on the passenger side.The truck went down a 15-foot embankment, landing against trees and shrubbery.Police said Oakill was not injured and will not be cited for the crash.
