State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes on Sunday in which vehicles left the road and crashed into trees.

The first occurred about 9:51 a.m. along Jonas Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Dorothy M. Warner, 23, of Effort, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier when it crashed into a tree. Warner and her passenger, Amber M. Beaver, 22, of East Stroudsburg, both sustained minor injuries and were at the scene by West End ambulance personnel.The second crash occurred at 10:36 a.m., also on Jonas Road. Elwin S. Thomas, 78, of Effort, was driving a 2014 Hyundai Sonata when it left the road and crashed into a tree. Thomas also had minor injuries and were treated at the scene by West End personnel.
