A Monroe County man, wanted on a warrant, fled police on foot but was eventually arrested.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Friday at 11 a.m. James Akers III, 22, of Blakeslee, was observed walking along Toll Road, in the Blakeslee area. Police had previously learned he was wanted by the county's sheriff's department on a warrant.When Akers saw police, he ran off. A foot pursuit ensued and he was eventually stopped and arrested.He was then transported to the county prison in Snydersville on the warrant. PMRP will also file a charge of flight to avoid apprehension against Akers.
