A Monroe County man is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident that occurred at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday along Route 115, north of Route 209, in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said a 28-year-old female said her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Adam Ellis, 28, of East Stroudsburg, attempted to run her off the road and made contact with her car. A 9-year-old male was in the vehicle at the time.Troopers said Ellis was located and later arraigned before a district judge on the charge of simple assault.
