Traffic stop leads to drug charges

A traffic stop in Rush Township on Wednesday resulted in charges being filed against two people.

Aurelia Wilder, 24, Nesquehoning, was stopped at 10:34 a.m. while driving along Lafayette Avenue. Officers found drug paraphernalia in the car. She was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a valid license and possession of drug paraphernalia.A passenger in the car, Christopher Keer, 25, of Coaldale, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.They were arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, with bail set at $10,000 percentage. Keer was unable to post bond and was taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
