A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 1:36 a.m. Sunday along Route 901, between Beckville and Glenworth roads in North Manheim Township.

Troopers said Melvin Fishburn, 31, of Pottsville, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado when he was observed pulling onto 901 from Beckville Road and committing a motor vehicle code violation.A traffic stop was made and Fishburn was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. He was given field sobriety tests and then transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville, for a blood test.Troopers said the DUI charge is pending the test results.
