Schuylkill County crashes

State police at Frackville reported investigating two crashes this week on Schuylkill County roads.

A crash occurred at 2:54 p.m. on Monday along Route 61 in Blythe Township. Troopers said David C. Keeley Sr., 59, of Port Carbon, was driving a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound and passing another vehicle when he lost control. The Jeep left the road and struck a utility pole along the west berm.Keeley was not injured but his passenger, Dallas J. Elsdon, 21, of Port Carbon, sustained a moderate injury and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, by Shenandoah ambulance. Troopers cited Keeley for the crash.The second crash occurred at 6:53 a.m. on Wednesday along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township. Troopers said Danielle M. Spencer, 20, of White Haven, was driving a Chevrolet Cobalt southbound in the left lane when she became distracted and her vehicle went off the road. She lost control of the car that traveled into the snow-covered median. While in the median the car rolled over one complete time, coming to rest on its wheels.Spencer sustained a minor injury and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, by Shenandoah ambulance. The Cobalt had to be towed from the scene.Troopers said Spencer was cited for the crash.
