A Chestnuthill Township convenience store clerk has been charged with failing to secure $800.

Nicholas Kirk, no age given, of Effort, was charged with theft by state police at Fern Ridge.Instead of making the "drops" for the Turkey Hill store in Gilbert, Kirk was caught on camera stuffing money up his sleeve or pretending to make the drop but put the money in his pocket.The theft occurred between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Jan. 17.
