A Mahanoy City man has been cited by Rush Township police following a traffic stop on Feb. 3.

Officers stopped John Bloomfield, 54, at 8:07 a.m. as he was driving on Pine Creek Drive.Bloomfield appeared to be inebriated and was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for blood tests.The tests indicate he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.37 percent, more than four times the legal limit of 0.08 percent.He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and the traffic violations.
