Phony $100 bills were passed at a Schuylkill County mall.
State police at Frackville said the bills were passed at the Benigna's Creek Vineyard and Winery and the Mustard Seed Mercantile stores in the Schuylkill Mall on Feb. 19, at 11:20 a.m. A white male entered the stores and bought merchandise with the counterfeit bills. The bills were determined to be counterfeit after the suspect had left the mall.The suspect was described as being about 6 feet tall, thin build, and was wearing a dark colored knit hat, gray sweatpants, and a dark colored jacket. He also had at least one earring in one of hisears.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
