Six drivers were issued citations by Nesquehoning police during the period of Feb. 20-22.

Police said four of them were charged with speeding, including three at the intersection of Oak and Catawissa streets, a 25 mph zone. The drivers were clocked at 42, 42 and 43 mph.The fourth speeding citation went to an operator who was clocked at 45 mph in a 40 mph zone at the intersection of Route 209 and Cemetery Road.Police also issued a citation to a driver for failure to obey traffic control devices. That violation took place on Route 93.The sixth citation was written against a person who failed to yield the right of way of pedestrians in the crosswalk at the Panther Valley Elementary School, near Mermon Avenue.
