Crashes investigated

State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes probed by troopers over the past weekend.

A one-vehicle crash was reported about 2 a.m. on Saturday along Route 248 in Bowmanstown. Troopers said Justin H. Ahart, 26, of Walnutport, was driving a 2007 Ford F150 pickup when it struck the concrete divider, then the guiderail before overturning.Ahart and his passenger, Mark T. Szoke, 19, of Walnutport, were not injured. Ahart was cited for the crash, troopers said.A one-vehicle crash occurred at 10:07 p.m. on Sunday along Sheller Hill Road in Polk Township. Troopers said Keith Meistrich, 26, of Wharton, New Jersey, was driving a 2008 Jeep Liberty northbound and negotiating a left curve when he lost control. The Jeep traveled into the opposite lane and onto the berm, where it struck a fence and utility pole.Meistrich was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed. He was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
