The United States Attorney's Office is charging Walter Cruz Jr., 36, of Patterson, New Jersey, with passing counterfeit bills at the Mount Airy Casino in Mount Pocono, on Oct. 20, 2014.

The government also filed a plea agreement with the defendant, which is subject to approval by the court.The charge is the result of an investigationconducted by the Pennsylvania State Police and the United States SecretService.The maximum penalty under the federal statute is 20 years imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.
