Rush party leads to arrest of two

A party on Lincoln Drive in Hometown on Feb. 22 turned ugly, resulting in criminal charges for two of the participants.

Rush Township police pieced together the details after speaking to several people after the 7 a.m. incident.Joshua Honey, 18, of Tamaqua and James Weeks Jr., 19, of Quakake allegedly slashed the tires and urinated on the car of an 18-year-old male from Girardville, sparking an argument.Honey then aimed a long gun at the victim, causing him to flee, along with his 17-year-old girlfriend from Tamaqua. As the duo left, Honey and Weeks both reportedly followed them, pointing rifles or shotguns at them. The couple was able to safely flee the area.Weeks and Honey will both be charged with simple assault, making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.
