Tamaqua police cited Anthony Perez, 26, of 409 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, after he caused a commotion on Feb. 28.

Perez went outside his apartment at 9:10 p.m., screaming at a neighbor who had been hammering something inside his own apartment.That neighbor, Brian Haas, 409 W. Broad St., Apt. 1, called police to complain about Perez.He was asked to come to the police station to fill out a statement form.When Haas said he wouldn't be able to make it to the station for some time, the officer offered to give him a ride, an offer he accepted.Unfortunately for Haas, police made that offer as they were aware of an outstanding bench warrant for his arrest.When he arrived at the station, Haas filled out the statement form, was informed of the warrant and was then taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.Perez was cited for disorderly conduct.
