A theft, reported at 2:40 a.m. April 28 in West Mahanoy Township, is being investigated by state police at the Frackville barracks.

The victim is Marylou Hasker, 43, of Frackville.She told police someone removed pills from a pill bottle in her purse while it was in Room 7 of the Roadway Inn on Altamont Boulevard in the township.
