State police at Lehighton reported on two driving under the influence arrests, one at a checkpoint operation.

Tadeusz Teddy Gjondla, 52, of Whitehall, was cited at 4:28 p.m. May 3 at the intersection of Long Run Road and Forest Street in Franklin Township.Troopers responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash. As a result of an investigation, Gjondla, involved in the crash, was arrested for DUI.At 7:30 p.m. Friday, troopers were conducting a checkpoint operation at Indian Hill and Long Run roads in Franklin Township.Michael Patrick Quinn, 32, of Philadelphia, entered the checkpoint operating a 2014 Honda CRV. A further investigation led to Quinn being arrested for suspicion of DUI. Charges were filed.A passenger with Quinn, Patrick Thomas Walker, 31, of Exton, Chester County, was found to have in his possession controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Drug charges were filed.
