A Monroe County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:37 p.m. July 25 along McIlhaney Road, in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Shayla E. Counterman, 18, of East Stroudsburg, was driving a 2003 Hyundai Sonata southbound in the right lane and negotiating a right curve, when she swerved into the left lane, then back to the right lane. She then lost control of the car, which went onto the berm and struck a tree.Counterman sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, troopers said.
