Tamaqua police are investigating a rash of thefts reported over the weekend, all occurring in the South Ward section of the borough.

Thieves removed numerous items from six separate vehicles and two yards on Penn, Orwigsburg and Race streets. Stolen items include a stereo, compact discs, sunglasses, GPS units, a snow thrower, lawn mower, weed whacker, golf clubs, a nail gun, one BMX and one mountain bike and an air compressor.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call police at 570-668-5000.
