Mahoning Township police, responding to a report of a shoplifter, charged the suspect with having marijuana.

Jason L. Conklin, 38, of East Bangor, was accused on Aug. 15 of taking $68 worth of merchandise by loss prevention staff at Walmart. He was found to have marijuana, and was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and a summary charge of retail theft.Conklin faces a preliminary hearing at 2:45 p.m. Nov. 18 before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford.
