State police at the Lehighton said they filed bad check charges against Martin Bishop, 49, of Palmerton, as a result of an incident they were called to Berger Hill Road in Towamensing Township.

Police said the incident happened between 3 p.m. Sept. 28 and 3 p.m. Oct. 8. The victim to which the bad check was issued is a 59-year-old Palmerton man.
