State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a theft by unlawful taking incident whereby a wristlet purse containing personal items and cash were stolen.

The victim is a 25-year-old woman.The incident happened in the area of White Street in Weissport sometime between 4:30 a.m. Nov. 5 and 1 p.m. Nov. 6.
