A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 5:35 p.m. Sunday along Roosevelt Drive, in the village of New Boston, Mahanoy Township.

State police at Frackville said Jonathan Emerich, 24, of Frackville, was found asleep behind the wheel of his 2001 Chevrolet Malibu in the travel lanes.He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI of a controlled substance.He was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville, where he submitted to a blood test.Troopers said the DUI count is pending the test results.
