Carbon business cited by liquor board

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

The Batter's Box Sports Bar & Grille Inc., 10 E. Lehigh St., Summit Hill, was cited for the period of Sept. 1, 2015, and Feb. 16, when it sold alcoholic beverages after the restaurant license expired on Aug. 31, 2015, and had not been renewed and/or validated.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
