A Slatington driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Karel A. Mikolas, 76, was driving a 2009 Ford Ranger pickup eastbound along Memorial Drive, at the intersection with Herbert Drive in Lynn Township, at 8:25 p.m. Saturday. Troopers said he veered his truck into an embankment, flipping it over onto the passenger side. It came to rest facing east in a ditch. Mikolas had to be extricated from the truck by rescue personnel. He did not receive any medical treatment, according to the police report.He will be charge with DUI, troopers said.
