A Luzerne County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 5:20 p.m. Friday along Route 339 in East Union Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Stephani Urizar Acevedo, 23, of Hazleton, was driving a 2000 Honda Civic northbound on Route 924. At the intersection with 339 she failed to negotiate a curve and lost control while turning onto 339. The Civic crossed over the yellow lines into the opposing lane of travel. Acevedo attempted to counter steer, and the Civic then slid sideways into the northbound lane. The Civic then went onto the berm where it overturned and came to rest on its roof.Acevedo and her passenger, Alvaro D. Toro Acevedo, 21, also of Hazleton, were wearing seat belts and were not injured. The Civic had to be towed from the scene. Troopers said the driver received two citations for the crash.
